April 12, 1999.
How much would you pay for this photo?
Let me tell you what I paid.
First of all, I had to pay the model. I don't remember
exactly how much, but at the time, I think I was paying
her $250 per scene.
Here's where the story gets strange:
You see, at the time I had a broken leg and my car
was a standard, so I was neither driving
nor insured to drive, but Yolanda,
the model in this picture, was in town only
for the afternoon, so it was now or never.
I got in my car and drove out of town with
a broken leg in order to photograph
her.
The session went well and I got a lot of
beautiful video clips. However, on
the way back home, I was pulled over by
the highway police and nailed for driving
without proper insurance.
The fine was $700.
On top of that, my insurance will now cost
me $2000 more per year for 3 years.
That's $6000!
So the total cost of this photo is
$250 + $700 + $6000 = $6950.
Know what?
It's worth every penny.
