December 13, 2004. Thе Gоldеn Goddessby Jоеl Sаppіngtоn Long before the beginning of time, there was nothing, only the sheer cold of empty space. A golden goddess ascended from the darkness which was Earth before time. She saw the emptiness, the darkness all around her, destroying her spirit causing her to weep. She began to plea with the heavens to help her, but soon realized she had her power; the golden goddess gazed down to the Earth below, now starting to take form. Her tears are surely what made the watery globe. Gathering her strength, she called forth the land from beneath the waters, calling to the land to arise, and decided it was good. Using her soft, caring hands, she scr4pеd back the earth, planted her seeds, and watched them grow. She saw this and said it was good.
Finally feeling optimistic, seeing all the things she had done, she spoke forth all the living creatures on the land, in the sea, and in the air. Each had their name, and each their own form. She made the animals on the land that would serve each other, the fish in the sea, and the birds of the air. Now nearing the end of her labor, she knew there had to be one last thing. She needed all things to be tended to while she was away and the thought occurred to her to make man. She reached into the earth below, and grasped the soil in her hands; she then blew life into the soil and created that which is man. "A peculiar creature," she thought to herself, "rigid and powerful, ideal to care for my creation."
She then watched him over the years tending to the animals and gardens, but noticed him to be lonely. She wanted to help him through, but her power was gone. She had only but one choice to make; she took all that was perfect and true and became that which would become known as beauty, then took on a form similar to man. When the man saw this transformed golden goddess, perfect in form and in self, he gave the goddess all he had, and more, lifting her up, just as she did him. Now, thousands of years later, we see the goddess in every woman, perfect with beauty, and with the heart that would give everything first, just to bring happiness to all things. © 2004 by Body in Mind |
