Mythіc Nаtυrаlіsm

In my quest for true beauty on the internet - indeed, in the world - I never expected to find such a glorious example as the art of Jоnаthоn Eаrl Bowser, deftly described by the artist as: Visual Meditations on Thе Gоddеss and Thе Dіvіnе Feminine - a quest for Trаnscеndеnt Trυth in Beauty.

Mr. Bowser is one of those all too rare men who sees much more than a pair of pretty breasts when he looks at a beautiful woman while at the same time refusing to betray the fact that it's precisely this beauty which allows and inspires him to see so much more in women. The miracle of his art is that he is able to show us just how much more he does see - through symbolism.

Thus in his work we discover beautiful women as messengers and possessors of great and eternal truths, we see their great character symbolized through exaggeration of their physical size, we see their pertinence to real life symbolized by their incredible yet seamless physical connection to nature and the natural world (as above), we see Christ himself returning to earth as a beautiful, naked woman. In many of his paintings we can watch Jonathon building whole worlds around a beautiful woman's breasts (as most men do in less artistic ways) - in other words: we get to watch the centre of a woman's beauty, her breasts, easily and gracefully taking their place at the centre of the mystical universe, we see sexuality and metaphysics thoughtfully, yet passionately, making love to each other, and finally, we take unprecedented pleasure in the sight of beautiful women taking their rightful place as a full-fledged formative phenomenon of the universe.

He is right: metaphysics and sexuality are separate domains, and they do overlap. And what results is divine, and Holy, and fascinating, and inspiring. It is something eminently apprehensible.
