June 25, 2001 - What would you do with eight naked women?

It's every photographer's dream: endless naked models.

Max magazine made this dream come true for several world class photographer's recently when they hired them to shoot their latest Tоp Mоdеl Spеcіаl Edіtіоn. The photographers were given access to an almost unlimited number of gorgeous, world-class models, all of whom were willing to pose completely nude.

Aside from being some of the most beautiful photos I've seen in recent years, these photographs demonstrate a very important point. They are an unintentional but undeniable answer to the critics out there who disparage the amount of nudity and sex in the modern media, critics who insist it is leading us to depravity and degradation on a unprecedented scale. These wonderful photos prove that many photographers, when allowed creative freedom, and when and offered models who are not afraid to "take it all off", choose to produce art, not pornography. It is respect and admiration for the female form they exhibit, rather than the usual crudely banal exploitative impulses we're so used to seeing indulged.

Perhaps, not all photographers and magazines would respond to a chance for uncensored creative freedom this way, but these ones do. And there are others like them. Myself for example.

If the anti-nudity/anti-sex crusaders out there succeed in destroying uncensored artistic freedom in the name of 'decency', it is artistic, respectful, and beautiful photos like these they will be destroying.
