Can beauty cure disease? We've answered this question before on Body in Mind.

The answer is yes. And it makes us wonder why the power of female beauty isn't used more to help motivate men to heal and recuperate from diseases of the mind, and of the body.

This weeks article by Leanne deals with this idea, accompanied by some images of Olga and Nikki by Alеxаndеr Fеdоrоv. They may not cure cancer (although they might), but we know they'll make you feel better, regardless of how you feel.

Award promotes 'beautiful' nudes

In an attempt to resurrect respect for beauty in the painted female nude, something missing for the last century or so, Thе Sоcіеty for the Appreciation of the Fеmаlе Nυdе (SAFN) in the U.K. is handing out its first ever award tonight (Mоndаy Nоv 10/03).

I must say it's great to see the modern beauty movement manifesting itself in yet another form, and it's encouraging to see that others besides us have decided to actively promote the value of beauty in female nudes publicly. Hmmm, maybe we should create an award for the most beautiful nude photo of the year....hmmmmm......

A Festival for Fеmаlе Bеаυty

Our gallery this week comes from Sеrgеy Gоnchаrоv and features most of his lovely models from his site Fаntаstіc Nυdе Girls in Nature. This particular series is a tribute to the Ukranian holiday, Ivаnа Kυpаlа, which celebrates magic, fertility, and cleansing.

We did some investigating into the history of this fascinating holiday and it seems there are a lot of other Pagan holidays that find equally interesting ways to celebrate female beauty, sexuality and fertility openly. But in our hearts we'd like to get rid of the hocum and hocus pocus and focus on what's been under the surface motivating these celebrations all along. The magic we're really interested in is the magic of female beauty; and the fertility that facinates us is the fertility of our minds in response to it.

We hope you enjoy this photoset, even though it's unlike anything we've featured before on Body in Mind. It includes several girls in one setting, and the poses are sometimes a little suggestive. But it's all in good spirits. Even if it scares you a bit, take a leap with us. You'll love it.

Do you want PayPal to define pornography for you?

PAYPAL, an internet auction payment and credit card processing company, has recently openly declared that it will not allow payments for any web sites that involve nudity, declaring them to be 'adult' sites, meaning: pornography, regardless of how tasteful or artistic these nudes might be. This, along with the fact that they have disallowed even non-nude sites like Tіm's Angеls, tells us that it is not porn or even nudity they are attacking, but female beauty itself.

We're used to this at Body in Mind. We've been around for over 6 years and we've learned that ALL attacks on pornography are just diguised attacks on female beauty. For example we feature nothing but the most tasteful, pro-value nudes, yet we are constantly under attack for being 'pornographers' and are always being marginalized as an 'adult' site, being lumped in with the most depraved websites out there.

With its mean-spirited policy, PayPal is telling its members what they can and cannot spend their own money on; it is telling grown adults that artistic nudity is harmful to them; but most importantly, it is declaring ideological war on those of us who value women and their beauty.

Do you want PayPal to define pornography for you? Will you allow them to call you a pervert for loving the beauty of women? Will you allow them to dictate what you're allowed to see? Will you let them tell you what to spend your own money on?
