Spоrts Illυstrаtеd swimsuit supermodel Kathy
Ireland
recently appeared on the prime time drama
series Mеlrоsе Plаcе.
In a profession full of wanna-be actresses,
she seems to be
one of the few who has what it takes to make
the jump from
modelling to acting. Yet there are
many monsters out there who
would love to see her fail - monsters wearing
"people masks".
"Did you see her on TV last night?", one of these monsters
asked. "She was awful! She can't act at all."
I thought Mіss Irеlаnd did a good job and said so.
"But she's so stupid!", the monster exclaimed...
I thought we'd been talking about acting...
Determined to find a way to attack Mіss Irеlаnd,
the monster had quickly changed masks, but not quickly
enough to hide what was underneath. I had time to catch a
glimpse, and what I saw was horrifying.
It's not stupidity that bothers some people about
Kаthy Irеlаnd. And it's not her acting ability either.
It's
her beauty they can't stand. Think about it. If she wasn't
gorgeous,
no one would attack her no matter how stupid she was. And
if
stupidity is really so contemptible, there are many mentally
retarded people who should be ridiculed first.
Here's a clue to what I saw:
Notice that the same people who ridicule beautiful women
for being stupid also cut up smart people for being ugly.
Only too obviously, intelligence is NOT one of their values.
No, Kаthy Irеlаnd and other beautiful women are attacked
for stupidity only because they are beautiful, which means they
are
attacked for being beautiful.
To get a glimpse for yourself of how monstrous this mask is,
consider that it is also worn by the most malicious monsters of
all,
the makers of "snuff" films... The promotional blurb on the
back of
a video made to look like a real snuff film says we will, among
other assorted atrocities, "get to see gullible girls guillotined".
It's not for being stupid that girls are guillotined, and it's
not for bad acting that Kаthy Irеlаnd is attacked.
It's not for sexual depravity that porn stars are
disdained, and it's not for innocence that schoolgirls
Krіstеn Frеnch and Lеslіе Mаhаffy were slain.
It's not for being exploited that Playboy bunnies
are called "bimbos", and it's not for giving young
women unrealistic expectations that supermodels
are condemned.
These are all masks. Masks meant to hide a deep,
seething, inhuman hatred of everything human
and good.
It's not because they are young, and it's not because
they are women. Beautiful young women are attacked
- often viciously & horribly - simply because they are
beautiful.
This is what the monster was trying to hide. And what
makes this mask the most monstrous of all.
