They're called 'women of the scarf' and in less respectful circles 'bag ladies'. But do women who choose to cover their beauty for religious reasons deserve our reverence? Body in Mind believes that anyone who tries to keep beauty - or anything good - from this world is a person who hates this world. Values like beauty, food, and truth are necessary for human life. That's why nature gives us such stong drives to achieve them. So we have to ask: is it really possible to be against these things in an innocent way? If they have the right to protest beauty, are we not entitled to protest their protest? Nature created female beauty to attract us to our values, to the things we need to survive and be happy, such as health, confidence, love, and purpose. If you want to live then you'll be attracted to people who exude these things. Your brain is wired to perceive your values as beauty. However, if you don't find these qualities beautiful, then you don't want to live very badly. This is sadly the case when it comes to women of the scarf. By registering their protest against beauty, they are registering a protest against life. This is why these women make so many people uncomfortable, even if most people don't quite understand why.
