Some say we shouldn't put beautiful women on a pedestal. Beauty is a myth, they say, or it's an airbrushed concoction of the fashion industry. And even when they run out of put-downs and dismissive comments, they still seethe with resentment and declare that 'everyone' is beautiful, and holding up any one woman as beautiful is merely a subjective and unfair thing to do. We couldn't disagree more. Looking at a naturally beautiful woman like Jacqueline, we can think of no better place for her than on a pedestal - held up as an icon of values and admired as a shining example of objective beauty. Why shouldn't we celebrate someone so beautiful, so perfectly formed, and appreciate her for sharing her beauty with us? The only people who don't want to look up at those on pedestals are those who know too well how far down everyone else has to look to see them.
