Mystіc Skаtеr

Above is one of the first drawings I did when I first began to explore my fascination for female beauty. It is a mystical interpretation of the spiritual nature of female beauty and an attempt to explore the powers behind it.

The many drawings and paintings of female beauty I've done since are each inadvertently a document of my artistic and intellectual progress. It was a process of a growing mind, of growing up if you will - it was the movement from mysticism to objective reason.

Today, I have abandoned mysticism altogether, in my work, and in my thinking, and have come to a rational understanding of the universe and of female beauty. Objective reason has taught me everything I now know, and it has made my art what it is today.

In the months ahead I intend to show you more of my early work, especially the pieces which played a significant role in my intellectual development. My goal is to encourage just such growth in my readers.

A small illustration of the power of reason is contained within the drawing above.

If you look closely you will see a group of stars which mirror the shape of the nude figure skater. At the time I did not know why I was putting the stars in the picture, only that it seemed poetic. Today, however, I know that the stars were an attempt to put the power behind female beauty into an order I could understand. A beautiful order - a constellation. The constellation represents the priciples behind female beauty, which thanks only to objective thought, I now understand, principles which form part of an order every bit as pretty and awesome as the heavens.

These principles are delineated in every page of this journal.

So we see that reason does not diminish female beauty, or anything else for that matter, rather it uplifts it to its proper place in the universe. In fact, the movement from mysticism to reason has taught me that every bit of female beauty is a shining star.
