Perhaps the hardest thing beauty-loving men have to learn is that beauty is only itself, and nothing else, and more importantly, that it never needs to be anything else. Unfortunately, beauty is not always an indication of a woman's true qualities: a woman merely has to appear to possess desirable qualities for her to appear beautiful to us. Most of us learn in high school that beauty does not always equal real character in a woman. We learn that the most beautiful woman is not necessarily the nicest. But instead of concluding that beauty is a lie, we need to learn that beauty is the result of our perception of character in a woman, and that this beauty is trying to tell us that character in a woman is important to us, even more important than any one woman. Female beauty is a benevolent tour guide through the world of women's souls, meant to inspire us to hold out for a woman who actually does possess the qualities of character we desire most. After all, the most beautiful woman of all is the one who is real.
