Saudi r4pе victim faces 200 lashes for telling her story
Nov 16, 2007 - A 19 year old victim of a gang r4pе in Sаυdі Arаbіа was sentenced to receive 90 whip lashes for "being in the car of an unrelated male at the time of the r4pе" - and then sentenced to 200 lashes and six months in jail for telling the news media her story.
The judges in Sаυdі Arаbіа's Hіghеr Jυdіcіаl Council wanted to 'punish the woman further' for " her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media."
The six men who r4pеd her were given between two and nine years in jail. None of them will face the lash of a whip for their crime. The woman, on the other hand, will face imprisonment and the whip for having been r4pеd and for daring to tell the world about it.
We're sickened by the spectacle of this incredibly courageous young woman being forced to endure what will likely amount to a public execution for it. R4pеd for being beautiful; killed for being brave. This is hatred of beauty on a country-wide scale, and we can think of nothing uglier.
