Is this photo 'obscene'? Vіrgіnіа Bеаch thinks so
Feb 9, 2008 - Police in Vіrgіnіа Bеаch, VA cited the manager of an Abercrombie & Fitch store for "display of obscene materials that is open to juveniles" and confiscated the posters after complaints from customers.
The manager, if convicted, faces a fine of $2000 and as much as a year in jail. Police had to charge him because there was no legal way to cite the company.
The retailer is said to be preparing to 'pursue its legal rights vigorously'.
"The marketing images in question show less skin than you see any summer day at the beach. And certainly less than the plumber working on your kitchen sink." the company said in a statement.
