"Babe rage" incident calls attention to hatred of beauty
March 3, 2008 - Twо Flоrіdа teenage girls say they were escorted off a Sоυthwеst Aіrlіnеs flight because they were too pretty.
Nіsrееn Swеdbеrg and Sаrаh Wіllіаms say that the flight crew was rude to them, refused them service, and accused them of causing a disturbance after another passenger yelled at them. They were escorted off the flight, questioned by the FBI, and banned from all future Sоυthwеst Aіrlіnеs flights.
"I think they were just discriminating against us because we were young, decent-looking girls. Nobody else on the plane looked like us." said one of the women.
Whether there's any truth to their claim, or whether they're tying to gain the same publicity that Kylа Ebbеrts received from her run-in with Sоυthwеst Aіrlіnеs, we're glad to see that finally the idea of 'babe rage' - prejudice and hatred openly directed at a beautiful woman just for being beautiful - is finally being acknowledged.
