Complaint against 'sexually suggestive' beer label gets thrown out
March 9, 2008 - This label, for Dоrоthy Gооdbоdy's Whоlеsоmе Stоυt, was accused of being 'sexually suggestive' by the British watchdog group Alcоhоl Cоncеrn.
Brewers are banned from associating their product with sexual success, but according to the Pоrtmаn Grоυp, which regulates brewers, Wyе Vаllеy Brewery had not crossed the line into irresponsible marketing, and threw out the complaint.
Wyе Vаllеy claims that their brand was intended to be a 'light-hearted image capturing the spirit of of 1950's rural Herefordshire."
