Feminists blast "Fаt Prіncеss" video game
July 29, 2008 - Sony has unveiled a new video game called 'Fаt Prіncess', a type of 'capture-the-flag' game in which the object is to lock up a once-thin princess in a dungeon and feed her cake until her weight balloons. The bigger she gets, the harder it is for your enemies to carry her off.
Feminists are outraged by this. One in particular facetiously said she's 'thrilled to see such unyielding dedication to creating a new generation of fat-hating heteronormative assholes'.
It seems feminists are never happy. If a video game features a svelte, busty young heroine, the feminists blast it. If the game features a plump princess - whom you are supposed to make even fatter as part of the game - they blast it. In this case, they are failing to register that the game's 'fat princess' is the highest value, something considered desirable and worth protecting, even as her weight increases. You would think this kind of thing would make them happy, implying as it does that a woman can still be valuable even with some extra pounds.
There's no 'fat-hating' going on here, or women-hating - just the opposite. And as for 'heteronormative' - meaning the idea that heterosexuality is the norm - frankly, it is. Feminists make it clear that any romantic depiction of a male loving a female makes men into 'assholes'.
Makes you wonder what the world would look like if they really were in charge, doesn't it?
