Japanese design world's first female fashion robot
March 22, 2009 - Runways in Japan will soon see the world's first female fashion robot.
Researchers unveiled their new creation this week, a five foot two inch 'cybernetic human', programmed to mimic the motions of real models. She is based on anime versions of Japanese women, with oversized eyes, a small nose and shoulder length hair. She weighs 95 pounds, and can flash smiles, pose for the camera and even pout.
She will make her fashion debut March 23, and will cost more than $2 million.
