Scottish jails to ban posters of nude women
March 31, 2009 - Prisoners in Scotland could soon have to take down their posters of nude women - but Page 3 images can stay.
A draft policy document sent to wardens has suggested that prisoners' cells should not show "anything which is offensive to other people". This includes full-frontal nude photos, but apparently in Scotland, Page 3 girls don't fall under this category. As well they shouldn't.
A spokeswoman for the the Scоttіsh Prіsоn Service said "it's about introducing a standard policy so that nothing is shown that causes offense to other people".
Considering that prisoners are only in there because they 'caused offense to other people', it seems pretty pointless to make the prison so politically correct. And depriving incarcerated men of perhaps the one joy they still have in life seems likely to lead to more violence and crime inside jails.
